Surf is the heartbeat of Uluwatu Surf Villas. From the cliff, you're watching one of the world's great left-hand reef breaks before you've had your coffee. Private stairs lead directly to the water.

Some of the most iconic waves in the world are directly out front. The private staircase gives you access to lesser-known, harder-to-reach sections of the reef that most visitors never find.

The board room carries a wide quiver — complimentary to use during the day, small hire fee if you keep one at your villa overnight or across multiple days.

Uluwatu works on all tides and swell sizes. The villas sit directly above the reef — read the conditions from the cliff before walking down.

When traveling surfers first discovered this break decades ago, it changed everything. USV was built on that same spirit. Surf brought us here. It still defines who we are.

Direct path to the waves.

No long drives, no crowded car parks. A stone path winds down from the cliff, opening onto a secluded stretch of sand where the reef begins. Reserved for guests.

Dawn patrol or a late afternoon swim — the access is always yours. Surfed out and salt-crusted on the way back up. The view from the cliff is waiting.

Your board choice matters. Our quiver covers the full range — stable longboards for those finding their feet, high-performance shortboards for experienced surfers, and everything in between. Boards are sourced from trusted shapers and rotated regularly to suit the conditions.

Not sure what to ride? Our surf team will point you in the right direction based on your level, the swell, and what you're after. Swap boards as many times as you need throughout your stay.

Beach Deck

Just above the shoreline, directly above the reef.

Watch the first sets come through over coffee in the morning. Read the conditions before heading down. Store your board. Swap notes with whoever else is out there.

Not surfing? It's still the best seat in the house. The deck stays open into the evening — quieter once the crowds thin out, the reef still visible in the last light.

Board Room

Racks of boards, wax on the counter, the tide chart on the wall.

Guests' personal boards alongside the villa quiver. Space to wax up before a session and rinse down after. Staff on hand for small repairs and setup tweaks.

The Board Room is the meeting point for guided surf sessions — which means it naturally becomes the place where people heading out at the same time find each other. Fins get discussed. Conditions get debated. Someone always knows something worth knowing.
